Vivian and Wendell Borrink
Wendell Borrink, Director

Now in his fifteenth season, Wendell Borrink is one of the original Sixteen Singing Men, a nationally known recording group in the 60's and 70's. His musical career spans more than four decades, and the Singing Men benefit from his wide experience in radio, musical productions, and church music.

He began his career with the Moody Radio Network in Chicago, where he produced dramatic and musical series, hosted a number of regular programs, and was Director of Production and Talent for WMBI. Wendell's skills and experiences range from that of soloist and choral member of several professional groups, to leadership in owning radio stations for more than 30 years. He has been producer, musical director, and soloist for numerous Christian music events in the Midwest.

Mr. Borrink's voice can be heard in voice-overs, commercials, dramatic film and television, oratorios and recitals.

Vivian Pearson Borrink, Accompanist

Vivian Pearson Borrink, Wendell Borrink's wife, has accompanied the Singing Men since their first year in 1985. With a Bachelor's degree in music and a diploma in sacred music, Vivian has been assistant organist and staff accompanist at Christ Church for 30 years. She sings professionally, and was a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus for eleven year, Music of the Baroque Ensemble, and contralto soloist at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago for three years.

She has performed in concerts and recitals, and her duet ministry with Wendell is appreciated by audiences throughout the Midwest. Vivian is a distinguished choral director in her own right, having led the Heritage Singers since 1998.
